How a round works
- When the round starts you are secretly given a role: Innocent, Sheriff or Murderer.
- Innocents collect coins scattered around the map and try to stay alive.
- The Sheriff has a gun that reloads after each shot - but shooting an Innocent eliminates the Sheriff too, so be sure before you fire.
- If the Sheriff dies, their gun drops on the floor. Any Innocent who picks it up becomes the Hero.
- The round ends when the Murderer is shot, everyone else is eliminated, or the timer runs out.
Beginner tips
- As an Innocent, stay near other players and keep moving - the Murderer usually picks off people who are alone.
- Watch for anyone who follows players into corners or suddenly pulls out a knife.
- As the Sheriff, wait until you actually see someone attack before shooting.
- As the Murderer, act like an Innocent at first and pick your moments - throwing the knife works from range.
- Spend coins on mystery boxes to build up your knife and gun collection.
- Codes are rare in MM2 and usually tied to events or YouTubers, so check back during big updates.
Seasonal events
- MM2 runs big limited-time events (Summer, Halloween, Christmas) with their own lobby, map, currency and mystery box.
- Event currency is usually earned from daily quests (Summer 2026 used Shells from coin quests).
- Event boxes contain a rare Godly and an even rarer Chroma version.
- Past Halloween events started in mid-to-late October (Halloween 2025 began October 18, 2025).
