99 Nights in the Forest is a co-op survival horror game where you and your friends build a camp in a dark forest and try to last 99 nights. You chop wood and gather fuel to keep the campfire burning, find food, craft better gear and fight off wolves, bears and cultist raids, all while the Deer and other monsters stalk you at night. You pick a class before each run (bought with Diamonds), and the best ending needs you to survive all 99 nights and also rescue the four missing kids. The latest update, Helping Happy (3 October 2026), adds a pre-Halloween quest to rebuild Happy the scarecrow, and a Halloween update is expected around 17-18 October 2026.

- Happy the Halloween Guy is back, but the Ram knocked him apart, so his body pieces (arms, legs, torso, hat) are scattered around the forest
- Find each piece and carry it back to the scarecrow at camp to rebuild him; piece locations change every run
- New weapon: Happy's Scythe, which levels up as you hit things like cobwebs and spider sacks; a stronger scythe can cut through tougher web barriers
- Finishing the quest lets you pick a reward (news coverage lists Vampire Cloak, Bouncing Blade or Laser Cannon)
- Three new badges: Reaping (max out Happy's Scythe), Strawcraft (help rebuild Happy) and Sweeping (destroy 200 webs with the scythe)
- Getting all three badges unlocks the Happy's Cart furniture item

What is the Deer in 99 Nights in the Forest?
The Deer is an unkillable monster that hunts players at night when they wander away from camp. Shine a flashlight at it to stun it, or run back to the campfire.
How do I reach Night 99?
Keep the campfire fueled every night, stock up on food, build defenses for cultist raids, and avoid fighting the Deer. Working as a team and upgrading the fire early makes it much easier.
How does the campfire work?
You add fuel like logs, coal and fuel canisters to fill the fire's bar. A full bar levels the fire up (up to Level 6), which reveals more of the forest, but it still needs constant refueling.
How do I rescue the kids?
Find the four missing kids (Dino, Kraken, Squid and Koala Kid), who are locked away and guarded by animals. Get keys from guardian wolves, alpha wolves and bears to open their areas.
